Geodemography

The largest proportion of The gold coast are couples aged 40 to 60, but there are also a large number who are from their mid-60s and upwards. By far the most are couples with children, where a little over half have two or more children. They grow up in large classic master-mason villas. Some also make their mark in actual mansions of older date or brand-new architect-designed owner-occupied homes. One in five also has a holiday home in Denmark. These are holiday homes traded for over two million, so a great many have a burglar alarm both there and in the home. Others own a holiday property or two abroad. This type goes for something big and expensive, so an allotment house would never come into question.

Both homes and cars are pure connoisseurship. By far the most have a car, almost 40% have two cars, and some also have a company car. You will see them whizzing around in large and expensive cars, especially on the northern coastal-road belt in Copenhagen, north of Aarhus, or at Hasseris in Aalborg. You do, however, also meet The gold coast in quite ordinary villa neighbourhoods around the largest cities, especially in Copenhagen.

Long higher educations are the norm for this type, but there is also a fair proportion with medium-length educations. The number of senior managers and higher salaried employees is quite high, just as there are a number of successful self-employed and researchers. Almost 40% have a business at their private address, especially consultancies and holding companies, which can cover many activities and investments.

The gold coast must be said to be quite descriptive of these people, who live life in the upper class. They have a solid fortune and an income far higher than their private consumption. But it has not come by itself. They are all well employed, and one in six has a senior manager in the household. A normal working week is often at least 50 hours.

The Gallup compas

The model on the right shows where the Conzoom type is positioned in relation to the Gallup Compass. The Gallup Compass is a segmentation tool that, based on value‑ and attitude‑based questions, provides nuanced insight into consumer behavior, values, and lifestyle. You can read more about this in the section below.

Behaviour, lifestyle and attitudes

The career is a passion, and one works hard for it. But The gold coast also prioritise quality time highly when they are off. It can be both de-stressing and practical at once to get a little gardening done, even though one could easily have paid someone else to do it. In the same way, it also gives a sense of surplus to bake delicious wholegrain buns for the kids' packed lunches or prepare finer gourmet dinners at home when friends and family come to visit.

In everyday life, meal kits are gladly ordered to the door, and the shopping is often done online - mostly to save time. Otherwise, it is nice to visit one of the preferred speciality shops. The gold coast eat well and gladly try new and exciting products. Nor do they mind paying extra for organic and good quality.

You can almost be certain to meet them at exhibitions, performances, at museums, at the ballet, opera or a classical concert. They are big cultural consumers.

When the pulse needs raising, they often run along the villa roads, and especially many hop into the cycling shorts and air the quite expensive racing bikes. Otherwise, you must go to the fitness centre to see them sweat. Tennis, riding and golf are, however, also popular sports, as well as all forms of extreme sport.

Experiences are not skimped on, and they travel quite a bit, gladly on several large and expensive holidays a year. Many go skiing every single winter, and the working ones fly several times a month, if not weekly.

Their interests are very broad and include, among other things, home design and interior decoration, fashion, culture, politics, socio-economics, tax matters and nutrition. It is all nourished by their large and varied media consumption; Børsen, Berlingske or Politiken drop through the letterbox and are leafed through from the morning over the morning coffee. They may even manage to read all three newspapers. At the weekend it is supplemented with Weekendavisen, and this is also where they get to look at the trade magazines Dagens Medicin and Ingeniøren, depending on their occupation. In addition, some read Mercedes-Benz Magazine or Audi Magazine as well as various home and lifestyle magazines. Around half also manage to read both fiction and non-fiction.

One should not skimp on equipment, and The gold coast are therefore first with the newest gadgets. For them, modern technology is also only an advantage in everyday life. You can meet them on social media, where Facebook is almost as popular as LinkedIn. But something suggests that they are increasingly offline when they are off. Except when they need to tend the finances and trade shares and securities, of course.

The gold coast are perhaps privileged, but they also understand how to share. One in five is a member of a nature or environmental organisation and close to half of a humanitarian organisation, which they support with handsome amounts.

In terms of values, the majority lie in the Modern and Modern-individual-oriented segment in the Gallup Compass. This is reflected in their attitudes. They feel they can keep up with developments while at the same time preserving traditional family values. They do not think the gap between rich and poor is large, and most also think that we in Denmark do enough for the weak and elderly. In fact, some would be satisfied with a lower tax by managing more things themselves. As long as it does not affect the public funds that go to art and culture.

At the most recent election, a great many put their cross by the Social Liberals (Radikale Venstre) or the Conservative People's Party, but the Liberal Alliance and the Liberal Party (Venstre) were also popular. The gold coast have, moreover, one of the country's highest voter turnouts, but the lowest support for the Social Democrats.
