There was a time when Denmark was a real agricultural country, and most Danes were farmers. Now there are few real farmers or others connected to the profession left. But life in the country is still very important to Denmark, and although many move to the big city, there are also families who move to the countryside to find peace and enjoy the fresh air.

In most places in the country, it is possible to get more housing for less money. On the other hand, you risk spending both time and money commuting between work and rural life, because there are fewer local job opportunities. If you find a job in the local area, it is often in production or agriculture, if you do not choose to become self-employed.

Life in the countryside is largely lived in the family. And although many young people are drawn to the big city and there are therefore not many young families, some also choose to live in one of the many cheap and available owner-occupied homes.

There are big economic differences in Life in the countryside. Not only among the farmers, but also in general. Some agricultural properties can be traded for well above the property value, while others are located in areas where the supply is large and the demand is small.

Leisure may be scarce among farmers, but it is valued by all. Gardening and needlework are common pursuits, just as Life in the countryside enjoys plenty of home baking and nature experiences. Otherwise, it is about repairs and painting in the home. That is why they are also diligent customers in the construction market. Some spend Sunday mornings going to church, far more than the average in Denmark. The same commitment can be seen when they regularly get involved in the local community, the community center or the local gymnastics association.

Before you start communicating with Country Life, you should get to know each type well. All the types generally differ from the rest of Denmark because their geographical location is so important.
